A Higher View

From higher on the pass, a Swiss mountain lake opens into a sweeping curve below forested hills. Craig identifies it as the same lake seen in A Lake Beyond the Village and Lake Below the Pass, now viewed from higher up and farther to the left. Together, the photographs trace a journey upward. The water remains the luminous center, while the widening view reveals the surrounding terrain and ridges beyond it.
