A Balloon at Last Light

A lone hot air balloon floats above dark mountain ridges beneath a layered golden sky. Craig's photograph gives the small silhouette generous space, letting the light and distance shape its sense of scale. The balloon appears suspended between the near darkness and the brighter bands above, with very little to distract from its quiet passage. This evening aviation scene finds its drama in restraint: one rounded form, a fading horizon and a sky still holding color.
