Tube Sponges
Shot on FilmTwo yellow tube sponges rise from a tangle of reef growth, their open ends set against blue water. Craig's title is direct, allowing the forms themselves to hold the scene. One tube leans away from the other, creating a gentle asymmetry among the surrounding branches and textures. This underwater photograph makes room for close observation: the rounded openings, softly lit surfaces and crowded reef below all reveal different aspects of the same small marine landscape.
