Boats at Rest

Fishing boats and small sailboats rest on still water before seafront buildings, while a constructed harbor headland juts into the view from the right. Craig tentatively places the scene near Limassol, Cyprus, in 1983. He remembers the pleasure of quayside restaurants and seafood close to its source. Masts, hulls and their reflections fill the sheltered water with detail, preserving a quieter moment in a working harbor where the day's catch and the next meal were never far apart.
