My First Mustang

A blue 1965 Ford Mustang stands in front of a Santa Monica home beneath bare branches and a bright sky. It was Craig's first Mustang, the car he remembers driving to high school in 1971. Behind it stands the only home he knew from birth until he turned 23, built by his father and grandfather. The photograph joins those two histories in one frame: a car associated with independence, parked at the place where his own story began.
